Olympians' Trial: Artemis
Content[edit | edit source]
One of the transcripts of the Trial of the Olympians that decided Asterion's fate.
Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt, voted against Asterion.
"I have very little against the hybrid boy. I was told he was a fine archer — no surprise, after all King Minos of Crete is the greatest living mortal archer — and his mandate over the labyrinth's temple was chaste. He was quite stingy with his offerings to me, I must say, but that I can let go.
Still, I must agree with my brother. The boy is a risk and we would do well to make an example out of him.
The bull struggles as its throat is cut. Regardless it must be done, for our sustenance and survival."
