King Minos (II) of Crete[edit | edit source]
Grandson of the first King Minos / Judge of the Dead/ Son of Europa and Zeus.
Made a pact with Poseidon and promised to sacrifice the white bull Poseidon sent but reneged.
Asterion's foster father and Pasiphaë's husband.
Though initially dismissive of the minotaur, due to his appearance and origin, it can be inferred that he warmed up to Asterion. He pushed the young minotaur to partake in lavish fertility rituals and let him live among his children, even provided him with his own bodyguard and retainer. After being labeled a menace, Minos had him trapped in the Labyrinth.
